Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is an Annual Report?

An Annual Report is a required filing submitted each year to the Florida Department of State to maintain a business entity’s active status. It confirms or updates ownership, address, and registered agent information on record with the state. An Annual Report must be filed whether or not changes are needed and is not a financial or tax statement.

Annual Reports are due by May 1 each year. Filings submitted after this deadline are subject to a $400 late fee imposed by the State of Florida. Businesses that fail to file by the third Friday of September may be administratively dissolved or revoked and may incur additional reinstatement fees.

Why is an Annual Report required?

Florida law requires all registered business entities to file an Annual Report to keep their records current with the state. Failure to file on time can result in late fees, loss of active status, and administrative dissolution.

What information is required to file an Annual Report?

To complete an Annual Report filing, we typically require basic business information such as the legal entity name, document number, principal address, registered agent details, and officer or manager information. Accurate information is required in order to submit the filing on your behalf.

Labor Law Posters

What is a Labor Law Poster?

A Labor Law Poster displays required federal and state employment law notices that inform employees of their workplace rights. These notices typically cover topics such as wages, workplace safety, and labor protections and must be displayed in a visible location accessible to employees.

Who is required to post a Labor Law Poster?

Most businesses with at least one employee are required to display applicable labor law notices. Additional posting requirements may apply to federal contractors and subcontractors. Requirements vary based on business type, location, and number of employees.

Why do I need to post a Labor Law Poster?

Federal and state regulations require employers to display current labor law notices. Failure to comply may result in penalties or fines. Posting required notices helps demonstrate compliance and ensures employees are informed of their rights.
